The Kansas Men’s Basketball team is about to receive the welcome of a lifetime when they return late afternoon Tuesday

The Kansas Men’s Basketball is home after a thrilling NCAA Tournament win in New Orleans late Monday night. After a hard-fought Victory, the team is set for the Homecoming of a lifetime as they make their way back to the University of Kansas in Lawrence. The Jayhawks returned to Kansas Tuesday afternoon. There will be a welcome home Celebration at the David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium when the team arrives around 4:15 pm Kansas Athletics announced the Celebration in a press release early Tuesday morning. WHEN WELCOME HOME CELEBRATION DETAILSGates to the stadium open at 3 pm and seating will be available only on the west side of the stadium. All surface lots around the David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium and the Mississippi Street Parking Garage will open at 2 p.m., for fans to park. There will also be a shuttle running from downtown Lawrence and Lot 90, starting at 2:30 pm, as lots around the stadium begin to fill.Parking will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.The National Championship will be one no college hoops fan will soon forget. KU’s head Coach Bill Self went from the Hall of Fame Coach who too often failed on the big stage to the brilliant mastermind of the biggest second-half comeback in NCAA title-game history.
