The Russian Invasion of Ukraine has largely been stalled on all fronts and is suffering heavy losses as it enters its fourth week, according to the latest British Intelligence update.

The Russian troops have made minimal progress in recent days on land, sea and air, the update said.

This comes shortly after a Russian airstrike Tore through a Theater sheltering thousands of civilians in Mariupol, leaving many buried under Burning rubble. The official death toll and injuries from the bombing have not been released yet.

Attacks on Ukrainian cities and towns continued on Thursday morning. One person was killed in a shelling attack in Kyiv.

And in the northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv, 53 people killed by Russian forces on Wednesday alone, the regional Governor claimed on Thursday.

The UN Security Council meet has been called by six nations the UK, US, France, Ireland, Norway and Albania – on Thursday afternoon, ahead of a resolution seeking protection for Ukrainian civilians “in vulnerable situations”.

Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine are expected to resume today as Volodymyr Zelensky said he is seeking the end of the war, security guarantees, Sovereignty, Restoration of territorial Integrity among other priorities in peace talks.

Moscow will stop ‘Russophobic’ plot against Russia, claims Medvedev

Moscow will stop the West’s Russophobic plot to tear the country apart, one of President Vladimir Putin’s closest allies said on Thursday.

Dmitry Medvedev, who served as president from 2008 to 2012 and is now Deputy Secretary of Russia’s security council, said the US had stoked “disgusting” Russophobia in an attempt to force Russia on its knees and then rip it apart.

“It will not work – Russia has the might to put all of our brash Enemies in their place,” Medvedev said.

The Russian Invasion of Ukraine has “largely stalled on all fronts” and has seen “minimal progress” on land, air and sea in recent days, the UK government has claimed.

The British Ministry of Defense received Ukrainian resistance “remains staunch” as they provided an Intelligence update on the war on Thursday.

53 people killed by Russian forces in Chernihiv, Governor claims

Losses are mounting in the northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv, with 53 people killed by Russian forces on Wednesday alone, the regional Governor claimed on Thursday.

“We are suffering heavy losses – 53 citizens were killed Yesterday,” Governor Viacheslav Chaus said.

The information could not be immediately verified. Russia denies targeting civilians.

Beleaguered Ukrainian town of Izium ‘at breaking point’ after constant Russian attack: ‘No one to Bury dead’

The city of Izium in eastern Ukraine’s Kharkiv region is “at a breaking point” as it is rapidly running out of food, medicine and water after being under Siege by Russia for two weeks, according to Amnesty International.

The city has been under constant bombardment from Russian forces with its Residents on “the Brink of a Humanitarian Disaster,” said the human rights organization that Interviewed 26 of the town’s Residents.

Izium has been cut off from supplies such as electricity, gas, heating and mobile communications after being exposed to constant Rocket fire since 3 March. Reports of the first military attacks on the town first appeared on 28 February.

The latest intelligence from the UK said Russian troops were slowing down in Ukraine, which confirmed the heavy losses Moscow is suffering during the Invasion.

“The Russian Invasion of Ukraine has largely stalled on all fronts. Russian forces have made minimal progress on land, sea or air in recent days and they continue to suffer heavy losses, ”the Intelligence update read.

The Ukrainian resistance remains staunch and well-Coordinated and the vast majority of Ukrainian territory, including all major cities, remains in the hands of Ukrainians, it added.

Sasha Zdanovych: Boy, 4, ‘lost in Ukraine war zone’ after grandmother dies in boat Tragedy

A four-year-old boy who was traveling with his grandmother in a boat which was capsized while Escaping Russian Invasion has gone missing, his mother said.

Sasha Zdanovych, the boy, was wearing a life jacket and has been missing since 10 March.

“We believe in a Miracle and wait for any useful information,” Ms Yakhno was quoted as saying to The Evening Standard.

One killed in Missile attack on Kyiv building

One person has been killed after a Russian Missile Struck Kyiv this morning, the Ukraine emergency services said.

Three others were injected into the shelling attack which Struck the building, officials said.

“On arrival, rescuers found that as a result of a damaged Missile remains, the 16th and technical floor of the building was demolished, and the 16th floor of the apartment was set on fire,” the emergency services said.

The Rescue services rushed to the spot after receiving a report of a residential building on fire in the Darnytsky district at 5.02am this morning.

Close to 30 people have been evacuated from the building and a search for more Residents trapped in the premises is still underway.

‘Very difficult’ for Ukraine to give up ambitions to join NATO

It would be very difficult for Ukraine to give up long-pending ambitions of joining the NATO Alliance after Boris Johnson said there was “no way Ukraine is going to join” the Alliance “any time soon,” Ukrainian MP Lesia Vasylenko said.

Joining the Alliance, the lawmaker said, was “a course that we have decided to take and proscribed it specifically in our Constitution”.

“So it would be very difficult to give that course up, that would mean changes to the Constitution. Today, as the escalation of Russia’s aggression grows against Ukraine, the support for NATO grows with it, ”Ms Vasylenko said, reports Geraldine Scott.
